A cargo net needs nothing but a hook, but some payloads need to be orientated in yaw. For that purpose, a Payload Orientation Device and an Equipment module can be slid on the Hub axle (not shown) as interlocking units that freely rotate on the axle.
The Equipment Module houses a generator and battery that provides power for the Payload Orientation Device and its control computer. It also houses and powers a payload winch and locking clamps, and can optionally house navigation lights, a radar beacon, a payload environmental control system and other equipment.
